Startup Girl is Elena Haliczer. She is the former co-founder and COO of Adaptive Semantics which was acquired by The Huffington Post in June 2010. Their product, JuLiA (Just a Linguistic Algorithm) forms the backbone of moderation and powers several other mission critical products at The Huffington Post. She is currently Product Lead for Social News Technology at HuffPost, and advises startups in her spare time.
